Contact Form Change

I would like to add fields into the contact form: i.e

 

Name

Email

Number

Date

Qty

 

I have tested by simply changing the 'Order reference' wording to 'Telephone Number' in the contact-form.tpl but nothing seems to change on the front end. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

You might edit the wrong file. Check the file in your theme directory. And clear cache after the change.

 

Furthermore you also need to make changes to the contact controller (PHP) and eventually to your database as well.

 

There are many tutorials in the web how to achieve this for PrestaShop 1.5 or 1.6. Not sure for 1.7. Only changing the tpl isn't enough.
