Templates are broken on front end

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I am new to prestashop and I am facing a problem right now.

I did a clean install of presta on a subdomain. Everything went fine, no errors. Went to themes and created a new theme

( dorado theme - it is compatible with the version 1.6.1.14). Again - no errors. Replaced the override and this is what I got:

and this is what it should look like

The .css files are loading fine. I compared the html structure with the demo they have and it is not correct. It seems to me, as if some modules from the default-bootstrap-template were carried over to this theme ( on the attached image, the "sales images" ). Also - the problem is appearing in every "layout" there is. The "Quickstart" installation of the theme does not work, when setting up the prestashop it gives an error ( no description ) and it begins from the start. Do you have any ideas what I could do to make this work?

( PS: I have tried also a free template I found on the internet, but the same thing happened - those "sales images" appear there and the template looks overall broken )

Thank you very much!
