Change product details via import file without affecting (PS 1.7)

Hi all,

I am currently using PS 1.7. and try to do the following:

I have approx 2.000 products. A part of the information I have uploaded via an import file, but I have also added a lot of information manually afterwards (e.g. pictures, categories, etc.).

Now I need to make changes in the products itself. I now want to change only the specific field "Label when out of stock (and back order allowed)" in the tab "Quantities". Since I need to change to make changes for approx 500 products (and I will need to do this on a regular basis) I am looking for an alternative then simply typing it in the back end.

So my question is, is it possible to upload this information via CSV import without erasing/changing other information of the products (e.g. prices, pictures, categories, etc.). If possible, what should this import file contain and what not?

Or is there another easier way to find a solution for this problem?

If it is the same for all products you could use the mass edit features of Prestools. It is free.
