SSL Issue with Prestashop 1.7

I need help solve the SSL issue right away. We have installed Prestashop 1.7 and SSL for our website on AWS but it's not working. Here is the issue:
1. It says Enable SSL in the backend (see screenshot attached here)
2. The toggle option Yes, No was available earlier on so I selected either Yes or No. After trying to select several times, the toggle option has become something like the screenshot. Enable SSL is now showing the blue link on the right: "Please click here to check if your shop supports HTTPS."
3. Clicking the link takes me the url like this "https://https//www.abc.com/" and the error message in the browser is displayed like this:

------------------------------------
This site can’t be reached

https’s server DNS address could not be found.
Try running Network Diagnostics.
DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

--------------------------------------------------------------
Any clue? Your insight is highly appreciated!

Hi,

When I do click in Please click here to check if your shop supports HTTPS, it takes me to login in main page, and then again to activate ssl, and again to login, and so on...

I have installed my SSL certificate, but it seems it can't find it.

Any help?

Same problem here with version 1.7.42. I have never seen this issue and this link before.

After clicking on the link the same page appears without any error message and https is not activated.

I managed to fix it changing the values directly in the database although it might not be the best solution. If you know what you are doing, you can set to 1 the following variables in ps_configuration:

PS_SSL_ENABLED

PS_SSL_ENABLED_EVERYWHERE

Regards.
