Vat number optional

Hello,

 

I have an issue. I'm selling to businesses and customers. I want to show the vat number only when the user puts something in the company name field (that's how it should work)

 

In my system, the vat number is always required in the adress form. Not matter if the field "company name" is empty or not. I've uncheck setting "require vat number" in the localization/country for each country.

 

I tried to enable and disable the B2B mode but that has no impact. How can I make this vatnumber field required for business and optional (or hidden) for customers?

 

Any idea?

Have you checked in Addresses tab in back office, on the bottom "define required fields" if vat_number is checked?

Hi, i got a similar problem, i'm not able to set as "optional the vat number."

 

Ps: 1.6.1.11

addresses: unchecked VAT_NUMBER

LOCALIZZATION: ITALY

B2B: OFF

I'M, UNABLE TO SWITCH ON THE EUROPEAN VAT NUMBER MODULE i'don't know why.

 

someone can drive me to get as oprional the registration field vat number?
