Automatically add customer to a group while registering depending on query string

Dear all,

 

Would it be possible to automatically add a new customer to a group, when (s)he registers, depending on the value of a query string in the URL that (s)he used to reach prestashop ?

 

In other words, I would like to be able to give URLs such as:

domaine.tld/?group=foo
domaine.tld/?group=bar
 

Let the customer browse the website, eventually fill the cart and when (s)he registers, get this "group" value back and automatically add the customer to the corresponding prestashop group.
