Rhobur Posted January 4, 2017 Share Posted January 4, 2017 You can't currently upgrade to 1.7 from any lower 1.5+, 1.6+versions. The 1.7 has to be installed as a new shop. That being said a 1. shop can be put under maintenance here, Shop Parameters->General->Maintenance. Once done, only those with whitelisted IPs would be able to see the shop. Rhobur Posted January 8, 2017 Share Posted January 8, 2017 Right, move the files in the Prestashop archive to the subdirectory you want it working, install PS 1.7 there (in a new database), put it on maintenance, play with it and if you consider it ready for production replace the existing PS1.6+ in the webserver root with the PS1.7 from the subdirectory.
