Resolved:
1) cpanel -> select php version

2) Correct extensions -> Save
3) click on Switch To PHP Options and correct options -> Save

This resolution doesn't look very clear and it wasnt really helpful.

I had a similar isssue installing PS. I was rnning my installtion an an online shared hosting server.

The following errors were found : Required PHP extension not found : fileinfo

This was how I resolved mine.

  1. Log in to your Control Panel, click Software > Select PHP Version
  2. Click the Extension tab (with your current running PHP version select)
  3. Look for fileinfo on your screen and ensure it is checked

Re-run your installation after this!
