pause4paws
PrestaShop 1.6.1.7 I use OpenOfficeCalc for spreadsheets. I was told by my template tech support: By default PrestaShop strips out all html tags while importing products.csv. I created my product descriptions with html tags in my products spreadsheet. I don't want to edit descriptions one at a time. How can I make PrestaShop keep the description formatting when uploading spreadsheets, please? Thanks! Daresh
But have you tested it? I imported many files to different shops without changing anything, and it always preserved html tags in descriptions.
pause4paws
Hi, Daresh, It's great to know the html tags don't get removed. I don't know why they said that. I got the template from templatemonster and they told me that. I haven't tested because I'm in maintenance mode and we're still working on adjusting my template. This thing about "tags being removed" was said when I asked if I can put bold and paragraphs for the descriptions. I gave them my preliminary products and categories .csv's because they are doing various updates. I guess I'll create a small products spreadsheet when I can upload it myself and see what happens. Thank you! I'll mark it solved since it seems solved to me!
