If someone order's a product and uses a coupon code that brings the order total below the minimum order value of £5, will Prestashop allow the customer to order or will it disallow the customer to order? Secondly, Will postage be taken into account with minimum order or is the minimum order value simply based on the checkout cart not postage? vekia Posted October 9, 2016 Share Posted October 9, 2016 option that you're looking for is available under preferences > orders there is a field 'Minimum purchase total required in order to validate the order' if you will set it to '5' prestashop will allow to place an order only if order total will be higher (or equal) than defined value here. this feature does not work with coupons (it doesnt check if you use coupon or not and what is the value of order total with coupon assigned to cart) if you're looking for solution that counts also coupon value - here it is: minimal order value by customer groups Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

So what you are saying is even if the customer users a coupon code, aslong as the base price before coupon's is above £5, the order is valid? guixr Posted October 6, 2017 Share Posted October 6, 2017 I am having the same issue however for me, it is when I am offering a free gift for purchasing $250+. The problem is the person adds enough items to cart to get above the 250 and get the free gift -- But then they add a discount code which brings them below 250, but the gift still remains in the cart. Is there anyway to resolve this so that if they use discounts which bring them below the minimum for the gift, the gift is removed? Thanks in advance!
