Fresh install of PS1.6.1 import only products and images from 1.4.9

salve dear team,

 

I would like to install a new fresh of PS, at the latest version today 1.6.1 and then only import the products and the images from an existing shop running 1.4.9.0, please let me know what could be the more reliable and easy way to achieve that.

I would like to lose the orders and the client details from the old install.

There is no easy way to solve this problem, only hard ones.

 

1) Hire professional developer to do that for you.

2) Find a module that could migrate data.

please note: I did not try any of these tools, so i am not sure if they are any good.

3.1. make a copy of you PS1.4 shop 

3.2. Upgrade PS1.4 with one click upgrate to the latest PS1.4

3.3. backup

3.4. Upgrade PS1.4 with one click upgrate to the latest PS1.5

3.5. backup

3.6. Upgrade PS1.5 with one click upgrate to the latest PS1.6

3.7. Import/export data you need to the new shop.
