1-Click Upgrade not working for me

Aloha,

we've started a new version of our site, using 1.6.1.5. I've populated pages, and everything is working properly. I've made full manual backups of all the files and database, I have disabled the non-native modules, turned off the cache, and the overrides, set all the conditions for running 1-Click Upgrade, but when I start 1-Click by clicking on "Upgrade PrestaShop Now!" I just get a spinning arrow circle over the puffin logo, it runs and runs but nothing else happens. I tried this on Friday last, and again on Monday, with the same result each time.

Can I upgrade manually?

I have made a theme which is a copy of the default theme, with little bits of variation. Will the manual upgrade overwrite only the default theme? What procedure should I follow to upgrade my copy of the default theme, so that I can keep the changes I've made?

Thanks!   Tim

No manual upgrade possible. You have to check the min, server requirements.

  • magic_quotes_gpc = off
  • memory_limit = 256M (better: 512M - PS 1.6.)
  • max_execution_time = 300
  • max_input_time = 300
  • upload_max_filesize = 20M
  • post_max_size = 20M
  • max_input_vars = 10000
  • allow_url_fopen = on
  • safe_mode = off
  • cURL - installed
  • mod_rewrite = on
  • mod_security = off
  • php 5.3+ (for  PS 1.6. php versions over php 5.4.5)
  • mySQL 5.5+
  • LINUX server
  • cageFS or other server firewall = OFF

If your theme has another name, than it will not be upgraded in this case

Mahalo for this information, I will check the particulars and try again.

Update: changed max_execution_time and max_input_time as advised, checked the other server requirements. Changed the php configuration from PHP 5.4 (FastCGI) to PHP 5.4 (single php.ini), and it worked. I've checked the site, I can place an order, and everything seems good.
