Duplicate add to cart sections

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I'm currently working on a product page for my shop and liked the idea of having an add to cart section at the top in the traditional place but also have another one further down the page. The idea being that The traditional one will be there for convenience for those people that know what they want and just need to add it to the cart where as the other one will be placed at the bottom after the product information for those users that aren't completely sold on the product when they first hit the page. That way scrolling down the page is like a journey for the viewer and hopefully by the time they've scrolled to the bottom they are convinced.

I duplicated the "buy_block" form from the top which contains the price, attributes and add to cart button and moved it down to where it needed to go down at the bottom but it seems it interferes with the top form for example if a selection is made as an attribute at the top and a different one is selected at the bottom it always uses the top one. In an ideal scenario they would both be treated as the exact same form so if the form at the top changes it also updates the one at the bottom but I'm unsure of the best way to go about doing this.

Basically I'm looking for a way to have two add to basket forms on the page either completely separate from each other so if one is submitted it doesn't take content from the other or perhaps do something that treats them as the same form so if one updates the other also updates.

Any help regarding this will be greatly appreciated as I think this would be a really nice feature to implement in the new shop. You can see this in it's current state here http://bit.ly/29aKPCV
