Duplicate content Google Webmaster Tools

Hello,

 

For archiving items out of stock we created a category dedicated to this (not accessible through the menu). We switch sections exhausted in this new category.

 

Problem with Google Webmaster Tools: meta description and title double

After extensive research we can not opt for either the URL blocking or deleting URL. The number of duplicate content increase with time.

 

What can we do?

You could use robot.txt to block the search enginer to access your duplicate urls. Or you could use SOO Pretty Urls to detect the remain duplicate urls and change it, and warning the duplicate url when creating / editing products, categories.

Multiple URLs that are directing to a single page shall be removed by adding canonical tags to the link addresses. Remove the duplicate urls will improves the rankings of your website by removing the original content that seems to be duplicate.
