Shopping Cart doesn't recalculate the Subtotal for alternative carrier.

Recommended Posts

The shopping cart does not recalculate the "Subtotal" for the alternative carrier from the "Carrier List" in the "Shopping-Cart Summary" page of a standard 5-step order processing mode

For the registered customers, the shopping cart correctly displays and calculates the "Subtotal", "Tax" and the "Total" for the default carrier as set in "Shipping > Preferences" of the back office depending on the available Carriers and the destination Province.

However, after selecting the alternative Carrier from the "Carrier List" and pressing the "Update Cart" button, the cart doesn't recalculate the "Subtotal" using the new value of "Total shipping".

Subsequently the "Tax" and the "Total" are calculated incorrectly.

Reloading the page brings everything in order, but for the default Carrier only.

I currently use PS 1.6.1.5 for our web site in development www.filterdepot.ca and the PS certified custom shipping module to calculate the delivery depending on the destination province.

Please help to identify and resolve the issue, as  it makes the option "Estimate the Cost of Shipping and Taxes" totally misleading to the customers.

Thank you,

Alex

Same type of issue in 1.7. Totals and subtotals are incorrectly displayed. Is there a way to change the coding so that we can get it to calculate what we need it to correctly. What file do we need to change? Can I put the tax above the total line or add another line below the total line? Help please. Thank you.
