Sorry, I don't think somebody can trustworthy answer. Even PrestaShop itself has a lot of bugs and experience with every module is various. You should know that every PrestaShop version is slightly different so rather test your combination PrestaShop vX vs. Prestools v 1.1 yourself.

Hello Eduardo,

As the maker of the script I want to give a short reaction

is it trustworthy or make some corrupt files or trash files in the database?

Almost all the bug reports about Prestools can be found back in the forum thread where you also can download Prestools. If you study them you will find that until now - the software has been around for a few years now - there haven't been reports about serious incidents where someone found his database corrupted. Any report of problems - no matter how small - is immediately addressed. But perfect software doesn't exist...

is it vulnerable?
I have paid a lot of attention to security. But perfect security doesn't exist. For that reason there are some extra layers of security that the user himself should implement: you should insert your ip number and set your own username and password. And to further increase your safety you can encrypt that password.

is it checked by prestashop team?
No. The Prestashop team only checks software that is sold on the addons store and you cannot "sell" software for free there. And even then they check mainly for adhering to standards and basic functionality.

It is the same thing be updated manually by the back office ?
Prestools works outside the back office. So you cannot update it there. Instead you are advised to download now and then the newest version and copy it over your old version. After that you should update the settings1.php file to reflect your settings. (you cannot just copy the old version as occasionally fields are added or changed).
