Email validation Field at registration

Hi all,

 

I've searched everywhere, googled etc but i cannot find anything.

 

My Problem is that I have customers that mistype their email at registration which leads to no emails sent to them. (order, Bank Information or whatever). An no, I don't want an activation link sent. I found out that an activation link is a order blocker.

 

To be honest i cannot believe that a Shop System like Prestashop doesn't have basics every other 0815 Shop System has in place. Same goes with Password re-type.

 

I can add this stuff myself but that's not the point. I know these are minor things but a shop without is no shop and I'm sure i am not the only one thinking like this.

yes, I agree that email validation becomes more and more popular, that is also prevent spam user's to register.

I hope PresatShop team will be able to include this feature in future version.

so what type of 'basic email' validation would you like to implement? 

 

you want the customer to have to type their email address twice?  other than sending an email, there is no way to actually validate that it is correct and existing.

my opinion, the proper way is to send an email with link ask customer to validate the email address by clicking the link.

it should be both.
