[1.6 - Back office] Blank screen when we add an association between a product and a category

Hi,

 

I recently migrate to 1.6 and add a lot of categories. So we have 800 products and 90 categories. Now, when we try to linked a product to a category through the back office, it take a long time, then there is a blank screen.

 

Does anyone know this problem? I can not update the php_memory_limit, so i'd like to know the reason of this problem and eventually remove products or categories.
