SMTP Setup not working

Sadly I have not received a response in my german thread ( https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/519431-smtp-setup-funktioniert-nicht/ ) so I hope to get one here:

After some experience with another Webshop I am setting up PrestaShop for the first time. Sadly however I can't get SMTP working:

I want to send mails using my SMTP server. It accepts connections on Port 25 and 587, but TLS ecnrypted only.

 

My settings are (variants separated by a / are tested with every possible combination):

Maildomain: shopdomain.tld/smtpdomain.tld

SMTP-server: smtpdomain.tld

SMTP-username: [email protected]

Password: my password

Encryption: TLS/SSL

Port: 25/465/587

 

As I know from my german thread, that I can't paste the error messages here, I will describe them:

 

Whenever I send a mail I get an error message with #0 and an empty error string (which is not really helpful).

Only on port 465 there's a difference: #111 and a connection refused string. This is obviously due to my server not listening on port 465.

 

On the very same server there as a Magento setup which is able to send mails perfectly fine using these parameters:

SMTP: smtpdomain.tld

Username: [email protected]

Password: my password

Encryption: TLS SSL

Port: 25

 

I would highly appreciate any hints on how I can solve this!
