Unable to install any module after sql backup restore

Recommended Posts

Hi I had to restore an sql backup in my backend via PHP-MyAdmin.

I was facing too many issues after struggling a day with all my products.

So the restore went almost fine. I was getting error on ps_mail and all was imported until ps_log and there it stopt.

So what I did was remove the ps_log from my backup and imported again and all went fine.

I had al my customers and shopping card back.

But now my shopping function has gone and I can not reinstall any module with is not working.

Does anyone have an idea what this is?

I need to be online of course

I did put back an older Backup from a few day's ago and it's all fine now.

I learned that a before a backup I have to clear al logfiles, disable caches and so on.

Also a complete site backup must go along with an SQL backup. That's the only way to restore without hassle. :-)

So I leave it for now and next time I make backup from site and database and test a restore before I go mess around with modules, products andso on.

Thanks for the link I will use it for later.
