presta911
I duplicated Prestashop onto my local computer to work on while travelling. However when I try to log into my customer account it keeps giving me an "Authentication failed" error. Any suggestions on where this may be occurring? Is there some type of seed for password hashing that I may be missing? Thanks for any suggestions
musicmaster
The password hashing key is in settings.inc.php. Maybe you could tell us how you duplicated the site.
presta911
I used git to duplicate it. I did ignore the settings.inc.php, but I did manually duplicate that file, only updating the database info. I double checked, and everything else matches. However, the admin password works fine. Any other suggestions? Edited March 17, 2016 by presta911 (see edit history)
musicmaster
Did you change the ps_shop_url table in your database?
presta911
Yes, I updated the ps_shop_url when I duplicated it. But I figured out what I was doing wrong. I was trying to log into a mult-store using a customer that was NOT setup for that store. That'll teach me to use the identical theme with only a changed logo! Thanks for your feedback musicmaster, it helped! Edited March 18, 2016 by presta911 (see edit history)
