Variable Ecommerce Module? (For Print Shop)

Recommended Posts

Hi, i run a printshop website and am looking for a module that can be added to prestashop, at the moment i have for example;

Business Cards

Dropdown Box 1: Single Side // Double Side

Dropdown Box 2: Quantity 250, 500, 1,000 etc

I have it set up easy enough where price changes depending on amount and quantity, however it would be nice to have extras in there such as;

Dropdown Box 3: Paper Stock Gloss // Matt // UV (This also changes the overall price)

Checkbox: Do you require design? Yes//No ( Yes charges extra £10 let's say)

Similar to the attached image for a mug customisation.

I may just be missing things or not looked into it enough this may be possible as it stands, i do know you can add things to the download/purchase of the product, and have file upload for images which is great, just need that little bit more - Being able to customise / colour the add to cart and customise section would be awesome also.

If it could be made into a Matrix style that would be perfect, see other image attached, this is from a printers also which would be perfect for me.

I understand im probably asking for the impossible, but if anyone knows a module or even a site using prestashop that's an online printers or not on the highstreet kind of shop can you point me the way to go.

Thanks, sorry for the long winded text.

James

Hi, there a module called attribute wizard that you can use to achieve this.  I recommend a client of mind this module and his satisfied.

read this topic about that module:https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/47363-module-attribute-wizard-pro-create-unlimited-attributes-combinations-choose-frm-7-input-types/

And if you need help to use this module don't hesitate ton contact me.

Thank you, i believe i have seen this addon somewhere before, i was a little confused with it, i will contact my friend who has this or used this, and see if i can understand more, i remembered that anything that needs to be customised has to be done via the module on 1 screen, not via each separate product via the "Customise" tab within the product

I have one site already up and operating that is a specialty print shop -- I used the Attribute Wizard Pro that people recommended above.

I've been in the process of setting up a more traditional print shop site. While Attribute Wizard Pro was perfect for the previous site I don't think I will use it for the traditional print site. The reason I don't feel it would work is that AWP uses a different method for combinations -- this causes an issue with pricing. For example you could make attribute contingent pricing where you have 12pt, and 16pt cards and make the 16pt cards +$30 but that doesn't work because you might want it to be $30 for 500 cards but +$400 for 10000 cards. AWP would work perfectly if you could do unit pricing which is what I did for the specialty print store but for a traditional print store where so much is going to be sold in fixed quantities unless you find an different way than I did to the fixed quantities you need to do price to specific combination assignment which means using the standard PrestaShop method of combinations and now AWP. Sucks because AWP is a great module but just not for this specific application.

The two main issues with doing a print shop using PrestaShop is the fixed quantities and file upload.

Fixed Quantities: My solution has been to edit the template files to remove quantity -- I've basically made it so that quantity is always 1 and there is no way to change that. I then use an attribute to create the quantity that the customer selects. This is a dirty hack but easy and works fine.

File Upload: At some point PrestaShop made it so that you can't upload PDFs or anything but image files which are not appropriate for commercial print so you'll either need to figure out how to expand the file types you can upload using the PrestaShop built in file uploader (there are several topics on this but I haven't tried yet) or buy a module for file upload.

Now the print shop module linked to above looks really interesting. Unfortunately it is in french and my french is very weak. I'm going to see what I can find out about it because even though it is on the pricey side it is worth it if it provides an elegant solution.

I used a module for the calculation scheme.

Is not a easy module to install and to learn.

But when installed, working and practice some, it is working good.

All variables available.

Contact me at: [email protected] and I will explain.

p.s. Don't work on Prestashop 1.7

However, Prestashop 1.7 is not working at all yet.

Greetings to all,

Has anyone tried the AddonsCMS E-print module?

I would like to know if there are other cheaper options

That isn't a cheap module -- I tried to watch the video but it is in French and I'm too tired to try to figure out what exactly the module offers. I don't mind pay for modules when there is value but this doesn't look like it does much. From what I can see it basically just seems to be predefined print specific attributes. If that is it then this isn't worth it as you better off creating your own. Maybe there is more to this module but just looking at it for a few minutes I don't see why anyone would pay that much.
