Search Results Blank Page

Hello,

 

Could anyone help me with the following issue:

I'm getting a blank page when I use search on Prestashop and cannot solve this issue.
 

• I'm using 1.6.1.4.
• debug mode on not showing anything
• all caching off & cleared
• indexing for search on
• did try to replace all files with original in the following catalogues -> adapter, classes, controllers, core, js, ovveride, tools
• also replaced tpl for search and block search module

Is this issue database related? if so, to which tables is search related?

 

I have the site live on a test server: www.brylew.ie (dev mode on)

I actually found the cause- it is php error in module

 

$categoryId = Context::getContext()->controller->getCategory()->id;

can anyone advise where's the error in this line?

for some reason it's referring to search controller and returning an error
