Backend Images Broken, But Not The Frontend

Dear all,

 

since this morning I have a big issue. When I upload product images in backend, they are not shown at all (and so I can't assigne them to my "combined" articles).

Front end displays them..

This is a big issue for me because I can't change or delete them (or edit description).

 

I have Prestashop 1.6.1.4.

I tried to delete cache.

I tried to regenerate images.

 

Only thing I changed was activating XCache (that now I cannot disable because the system tells that i cannot modify the configuration file (???).

 

 

Can someone help me?

New information:

 

If I remove XCache images are there in backend...If I reactivate...they are removed. This is only for images uploaded AFTER activating xcache.
