Fulls Size Image On Mobile View Not Working

We found out that on mobile view, a tapped or clicked image shows up full size but there are neither close nor next or previous buttons. Using desktop browser in mobile mode, even the escape key does not close the image.

 

The only option for a user is to fully reload the page.

 

Prestashop in use: Version 1.5.6.3 with some own adaptions

Same issue on an fresh install with no modifications.

We also found some reports on a realy bug in javascript library product.js which is on latest available version but did not fix this specific problem. Any feedback is very appreciated.

Update:

 

Testing reveals that the issue must be somewhere in jquery.touch-gallery.js. The close function for the gallery is not performed correctly.

Maybe someone with more javascript skills could explain how to fix the touch-gallery.js ?
