Urgent - Fatal Error (Customer -> Lastname = @ ) Ebay

I am running 1.4x site which is synced with eBay via presatshop module.

 

I had a customer order on eBay and they used an ‘@’ symbol in their last name. Ever since I keep getting white screen with “Fatal error (Customer -> lastname = John @ Doe Ltd)” when browsing the site.

 

eBay orders stopped being synced with the site when this happened, so I changed the customers name on the order details on eBay - this enabled orders to be synced but only once. Then the error continues to happen.

 

Is there a fix so that I can allow the @ symbol or another way around this. If I cancel the order on eBay the customer automatically gets refunded so wanted to avoid this (may still try and sync even then once cancelled)

 

Any help is gratefully received as I need to find a solution asap
