1.4 to 1.6.1.2 cant acces modules

I've just upgraded prestashop to version 1.6, but now when i want to go to the modules screen in the backend i get:

 

[PrestaShop] Fatal error in module file :/home/deb27306n2/domains/accucompany.com/public_html/tools/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_templatebase.php:
Uncaught --> Smarty: Call of unknown method 'clear_compiled_tpl'. <-- thrown

 

I've been looking all over google but havent found a solution, somehing about using smarty3 but i couldnt find an understandable explenation for it.

Also when i search in the backend i get a blank screen, and in the store if you go to quick-order it also returns a blank screen if you have an item in your cart.

 

Please help! and let me know if i need to provide more info.

the quick order blank screen is also only if you are logged in to an account

module list and search bar working now, but still the quick order is broken.

now i do still get some errors on loading the modules page and i think those are connected with the quick order problem

welcome to 1.6, @1.6.0.9 all of us 1.4 users had a reason to upgrade.
