After updating to Prestashop 1.6.1.2 Save button for old products not working.

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have just updated my Prestashop to 1.6.1.2 with success. Everything seems to be working fine except for the save button for my old products.

When I add a new product, everything saves perfectly but when I want to make changes to an old product and save them nothing happens. The save button don't respond while the annulation button works fine.

What can cause this problem and how to solve it?

Thanks!

Same issue !

With existing and duplicated products, "Save and stay" and "save" buttons are out. Others actions (Cancel, Duplicate, ...) work fine.

No issue when create a new product

- Prestashop: 1.6.1.2

- Host: Infomaniak

- Issue began: 1-2 weeks ago (client came with it today)

- Remarquable events nearby: none

- Actions done: empty cache(via BO then manually via FTP)

Hi,

waiting for a problem solving i had to downgrade to PS 1.6.1.1

Just one question. After i downgraded my PS release, i had tha same  problem (save button did not work on existing products...), so i deleted manually all cache directories on the server and the save button came back to work. My question is: did you try to clear manually all cache dirs on the server on your PS 1.6.1.2 upgraded release? I have not way to upgrade again my shop  at the moment so i cannot check this issue.

Thanks

Thanks,

i figured out this could be a problem because i saw the meta description field marked in red (due the chars number), but even if i tryed to reduce the number of chars, the save or the save and stay button still did not work. Can you say when the 1.6.1.3. release will be available?
Another thing... i got the same problem on 1.6.1.1 when i modified the tpl admin page (/themes/default/template/controllers/products/"all tpl files") related to Save button spinning issue (removing the disabled="disabled" on save button link)

Thanks again

Thanks Sylvain for your suggestion.

Same as Bissio: meta description lenght does not have any importance regarding the issue.

Today's testing went weird:

- a duplicated product which had the issue work fine now

- issue still on all others existing products

But we did not do or change anything since my post of the 2015-11-11

For me it was also a problem of long meta descriptions. Simply run the following query against your database to find out which products are "impacted":

SELECT * FROM ps_product_lang
WHERE CHAR_LENGTH(meta_description) > 160;

SOLUTION IN 1.6.1.2

Hi, in my case, it was just a problem with long SEO description. Just go to SEO product tab, modify data so it does not exceed size limit and save product normally.

Thanks man, that works! My SEO descs was too long but prestashop doesnt tell that untill i switch to SEO TAB manually.

thx!
