NemoPS
You should not use h1 tags more than once on the page, mys suggestion is to get rid of them. Also, that's not a duplicate, but how prestashop displays short descriptions for categories (one is shortened, the other full). You can correct it by amending category.tpl
[email protected]
Okay, thank you. But how does Google and other search engines read it, when one i full and the other one is short? Do they read it as duplicate H1 tags or do they know, that it is short and full description?
NemoPS
If you use h1, it will be duplicate as far as I know. You can try using rich snippets there too, although I am not sure it will be picked up for categories. In any case, since one is hidden, google should not pick it up. My suggestion is to just use the complete version without hiding it, getting rid of the other
[email protected]
It just take up a lot of space in the top of the page before people are getting to my products, and i really wants this text, for google.
NemoPS
Yeah but if it's hidden google might as well not pick it up, it doesn't like hidden content
[email protected]
Okay.. Hmm, could i then move it to the bottom of the page? Would that help me?
