Rendered HTML is different than entered in Manufacturer Description

Hi, Prestashop community. I'm having a weird issue with my prestashop store that I hope you can help me out to solve it.

The problem is that the rendered HTML code is different than what I enter in the tinyMCE editor. For example:

<div>something</div>

 

becomes:

 

<div><br><something<br></div>

 

So, for some reason the store is putting those line breaks from I-don't-know-where and this is only happening in the manufacturer's description. If I enter the exact same code in, let's say, category description, it's rendered as it should.

Any ideas? Some weird smarty variable, perhaps?

for:

{$manufacturer->description|replace:"<br />":""}
