Is it possible to remove the links in the slider banner?

ShopTester

Question

Hello all,

Just a quick question:

Wanted to do a promo for the Slider Banner.

The thing is I don't really need it to link to anywhere as its just a promo to say 10% etc...

But I really like to use the slider banner to do this, Is it possible to remove the links in the slider banner?

In the back office I'm forced to enter one in.

Many Thanks for any help.

Hi and Thank you very much for showing me that using # in the URL will force the page to stay/reload on the homepage.

Many Thanks

Just wondering if there is another trick to not even allow the user to click at all? or even make the mouse stay at a pointer and not change to a finger when hovered over?

If not then this # will be ok too. Very helpful to know.

Many Thanks, appreciate the help

Hello,

Thank you for helping, and I'm so SORRY to be a pain :(

Unfortunately after copy and pasting the code in the URL I get the message "The URL format is not correct."  when trying to save.

Have I somehow enter the code incorrectly? #homepage-slider #homeslider {pointer-events: none:}

Hello again

Sorry, I may have confused the issue.

This code needs to be placed in a ,css file NOT in the back office.

#homepage-slider #homeslider {pointer-events: none;}

You can place this in the homeslider.css or global.css

For example, at the bottom of the global.css file

Hope this helps
