How to change the invoice layout? I'm using PS Cloud

Hello,

 

I want to change the layout of the invoice pdf that is sent out to the customer after they have made an order.

 

I'v read in some posts that it should be possible to edit the invoice.tpl found in some /pdf folder, but I don't have this file.

 

I'm using Prestashop Cloud and a theme called "Electronics - PRS020027".

 

Any help is much appreciated :-)

Just download a zip of the current PrestaShop. The pdf folder is included.

Apply your changes, save the .tpl as invoice-new.tpl or whatev and upload the file(s) to your /themes/<yourtheme>/pdf directory.

Your invoice will then be displayed as new option in the drop down in orders --> invoices.

It's much easier to apply the modifications to a single invoice file like described in some threads in this forum instead of the 8 subfiles offered by PrestaShop from 1.6.1 on.

If you need header and footer don't forget to upload these files to the same directory.

I've downloaded all files and folders (the entire site including themes) via FTP, but I cannot find this invoice.tpl at all - not in any folder. That is my main problem. 

 

Am I missing something obvious, or could this be a difference between cloud and non-cloud Prestashops?

Ah! My mistake. I must have been in another world when I read your suggestion about downloading. Luckily I have a fast internet connection 

 

I found the file, changed it a bit and upload it to /themes/<mytheme>/pdf directory as you described.

 

According to your description, my invoice should now be displayed as new option in the drop down in orders --> invoices, but it doesn't. What am I missing?

I just tried to upload the modified file with the "original" name (ie. invoice.tpl) to the /themes/<mytheme>/pdf directory. I then made an order and the invoice that came out of it was the modified one.

Your're welcome!

However, try to upload a second version with another name. Maybe it takes some time until the cloud cache is refreshed, but in the end it'll work.
