Top Horizontal Menu

At the moment, when I mouseover on a link in the horizontal menu.... the categories (brands) are listed horizontally and the sub-categories (product types) are listed vertically below each category.

 

I need to have the categories (brands) listed in a vertical manner, and I don't want to include sub-categories (product types).

 

Pls help!
