move block cart to header & display only when mouse over cart icon

hi

i would like to move "block cart" to header (I think its called top of pages hook) & display only when mouse over cart icon.

when adding a product then ajax should be used as always, and it should slide up to the cart icon.

when moving the mouse over the cart icon or the text "Cart: 2productproducts $ 1,471" then the cart block should slide down or otherwise appear at that position.

has someone done something similar and can help me out?

or any ideas/code on how to do that?
