Increase block width in the footer of the default-theme

Hello,

 

I need to to permanently display some text in the footer of my webshop. I managed to do so by adding text in the template configurator (I am using the default-theme). Unfortunately, the text's width is very small. So I tried to increase it going through .php and .css files but couldn't find the solution to my problem yet. BTW I am using PrestaShop 1.6.1.1.

Can anybody give me a hint where to increase the width of this block?
