Fed Ex module: Webservice test connection : Error 1000 : Authentication Failed

Recommended Posts

Hello Prestashop Team and forum members!

I'm in dire need setting up Fed Ex module.  I'm scratching my head on this one because I was able to set this up with no problems before.  Now I'm getting this message:

warn2.png 3) Webservice test connection : Error 1000 : Authentication Failed

everything else passes.  I've tried several options found in this forum as well as suggestions found online but to no avail.  I even created a new fed ex account and still the same.  Please help!

Thanks in advance.

Just in case anyone run into the same problem...  After reaching out to Fed Ex, I've learned the URLs provided with Prestashop Fed Ex module is not valid.

it should be the following:

Web Services - Soap/XML URL's

Test - https://wsbeta.fedex.com:443/web-services
Production - https://ws.fedex.com:443/web-services

Web Services - Non Soap/XML URL's

Test - https://wsbeta.fedex.com:443/xml
Production - https://ws.fedex.com:443/xml

This is true as of PS 1.6.1.0 release.

Another possible cause is if you generate a NEW Authentication Key, be sure to clear web browser cache and restart web browser first.  Then re-submit to regenerate new credentials since regenerating new credentials without clearing web browser cache may potentially generate a partially only.

Hope this tuts helps someone as I was almost in the verge of shaving my head trying to figure this one out.

How exactly did you resolve this issue?  I have checked and double checked all my settings and still get the warn2.png 3) Webservice test connection : Error 1000 : Authentication Failed

Thanks for posting your solution.  I just don't quite understand how to fix it.

Please provide details on where to find these URLs so that we can change them?

Thank You for solving this, but without that information the rest of us are still stuck :(

(Does the Module Developer know about this yet?)

I was able to fix this based on reading everyone else's comments. You have to change the website address for Fedex in the php file.  I have the zip file ready to go. If someone can tell me how to upload the zip file here it's good to go. You have to use the info that fedex sends you. See below.

Production account information

Production Password: ******************************  <---------You have to use this for "Your Fedex Password" just copy and paste what is in the email

FedEx Account Number : XXXXXXxxxx    <---------You have to use this for "Your Fedex account Number" just copy and paste what is in the email

Production Meter Number : ****************** <---------You have to use this for "Your Fedex Meter Number" just copy and paste what is in the email

Production URL: https://ws.fedex.com:443/web-services

Supported Web Services: FedEx Web Services for Shipping

Advanced FedEx Web Services for Shipping available

Th issue I am seeing here is that you have suggested a fix but there is no instruction as to HOW to fix the issue. WHere are you supposed to fix the URL? In my screen there is no place to change the production URLS. So where is this supposed to be placed in order to rectify the situation?

Any Good help would be appreciated.
