how to reinstall presathop

Ok I'm heaving lot of problems with my prestashop and I'm thinking about clean reinstalling it but of course I don't want to loose all database and product images. Is there any safe way of doing such thing, any instructions step by step what to save (which folders- I guess for images of the products, will it remember somehow?) and how to do it right so there won't be much of shop downtime?

ok let me ask this differently...

 

can I do DB copy , delete all files from ftp, do fresh install of prestashop, import DB in myphpadmin? will everything be the same? Or I need also to create new DB and import old one into it?

Was that when you did an upgrade of PrestaShop 1-Click upgrade or?

 

Which version of PrestaShop you use?

I'm using 1.6.1.0

And I'm not sure if it happened after 1 click upgrade or not.

Hi,

If you copy new files and remove old files then product images, security settings in config files, other customization in files will be lost.

So your new installation with old database will have compatibility issues.
