CSV Import - Converting A CSV T0 UTF-8 or ISO 8859-1

Hi,

 

Haven't done this before, hope someone can advise,
Want to try import one a categories with products.

 

I went to my supplier's website and accessed their data feed for the CSV file.
So I just selected the Android TV Box / Stick category, then click submit to get the CSV.

 

The supplier has informed me that the CSV files are not UTF-8 or ISO 8859-1 format

How do I convert it to the right format?

 

Do I need to have these categories created with the same names in PrestaShop before I import a CSV file?

Anything else I should do first? sorry not familiar with this process.

Which encoding is it than ? For to save csv in another format you can for ex. use PSPad. Simply open your csv file with PSPad and use the "format" option to save it in another encoding like UTF-8.  http://www.pspad.com/en/
