Upgrade to 1.6.1.0 fails with an Ajax / Server Error

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

we've been using PrestaShop for only a few weeks, so the upgrade to the latest version 1.6.1.0 is my first upgrade ever (at the moment, we are using 1.6.0.14). I installed the "1-Click Upgrade" module and checked all the necessary things that are shown on the upgrade page. When I start upgrading, it only takes a few seconds and the process stops. It seems as if it is not possible to download the zip file. But why? Is there anything I can do? It would be great if someone could help! Thank you in advance!

I'm getting the same error upgrading from 1.6.06 using 1 click.  Error Below:

[Ajax/ server error for action removSamples] text status: "error" errorThrown:" "jqXHR""

The last thing the box on the bottom says is Archive extracted.

I found a solution for my problem: I downloaded the zip file, uploaded the extracted archive to /admin/autoupgrade/latest/prestashop/ and chose "local directory" in the "More options (Expert mode)" section. Afterwards, I started the update process and the download part was skipped. The update could be successfully completed.
