Yes we will update the thread.  If you'd like to be one of the beta testers, please PM me and we'll put you on the list.

Thanks.

Charles

Put me down on the list for beta testing.  Prestashop has provided such a great service that I don't mind giving back!

Please beta test me also, I bought a few modules assuming ssl was available on the cloud by default, but now shop is on a stand still and I do not want to lose money that I paid for my mods, because I cant launch the store yet.

Just starting with Prestashop specifically for the multisite functionality.

So my question is will Prestashiop Cloud SSL be compatable with the multisite functionality ? Will we be able to install a multidomain ssl cert ? or will we have to have an ssl for each domain ? etc..

When I click on +Add SSL Certificate it has a note that reads,

The SSL certificate will be valid only for this particular domain. If you wish to protect another domain, you should buy another certificate.
Your pswebstore.com domain is already secured, so no need for an SSL certificate for this domain!
When the SSL certificate is ready, you will have to modify your domain's DNS records. Don't worry, we'll send you an email to help you with the steps. Just make sure you can access your domain's settings on your domain name provider.

Since we haven't yet purchased a certificate we are curious about the line that says, "Your pswebstore.com domain is already secured, so no need for an SSL certificate for this domain!"  Currently, our URLs do not begin with https and we do not get a secure lock icon.

I guess the question is, "Do we still buy the cert regardless of that one line?"

When we say "Your pswebstore.com domain is already secured" this is because we already provide an SSL certificate for *.pswebstore.com and *.pswebshop.com.

So if you're using one of those addresses, you can activate the SSL in your back-office, in the "Preferences" tab.

But if you are using a custom domain name, like "myshop.com", you'll have to buy an SSL certificate to be able to secure your shop.

Best regards.

That's what I thought.  This message should be clarified to reflect your explanation.

Once the cert is installed is it going to mess up any existing links or affiliate links with the https protocol?

I presume, you are hosting on Prestashop Cloud ?

No, why should it ? Not for Prestashop Cloud.

If you are hosting by yourself (self hosted package), this can be happen, if certificate is not isntalled properly or not according to rules.

When you activate SSL on your entire shop in your back-office, all the links with http protocol are automatically redirected to the same address with https protocol. This is true for both (download and cloud) versions.

As selectshop.at said, once the certificate is well installed on the server (it's done automatically for cloud users), there is no problem for using https protocol.

Regards.

I too get this message "Your pswebshop.com domain is already secured, so no need for an SSL certificate for this domain! Either add a domain or make sure the domain you have selected is a primary one" when I try to add an SSL certificate.

But when I try to make my own domain name the primary one, I just get a message saying: "Default domain cannot be updated".

What am I doing wrong?

I use Prestashop Cloud, by the way.

If you add your own domain, you should buy a SSL certificate. You bought one ? Already added your domain to the control panel ?

How to add domain: http://doc.prestashop.com/display/CLOUD/Managing+domain+names

After this buy a SSL certificate. Button you will find on Prestashop Cloud Dashboard "Domains & Certificates"

Yes, I've added my own domain on the Prestashop Cloud Dashboard "Domains & Certificates" (both myowndomain.dk and www.myowndomain.dk). And now I want to buy an SSL certificate for it.

But when I click the button "Add an SSL certificate", I get the message, that the domain has to be set as primary domain first (message: Your pswebshop.com domain is already secured, so no need for an SSL certificate for this domain! Either add a domain or make sure the domain you have selected is a primary one).

An when I try to make my own domain the primary one, I get an error message saying "Default domain cannot be updated" and nothing more.

We have 2 shops as multishop and 2 own domains. We bought ssl form prestashop for 1 domain and everything works fine. This domain belongs to the main-shop.

How can we by ssl from prestashop for the second domain for the sub-shop?

We are hesitating to put the second domain as primary, because it doesn't belong to the main-shop ...

Glad to get advice ...

Your SSL is now active

Hi I also bought an SSL certificate for my domain a week ago but I have the following message in my SSL tab:

"Un problème technique est survenu lors de l'installation de votre certificat SSL.

Nos équipes font leur possible pour y remédier.

Dès que la situation reviendra à la normale, votre certificat SSL sera activé et ce message n'apparaîtra plus.

Merci pour votre patience."

Can you help me ?

Thanks
