PrestaShop 1.6.1.0: RC5 and release date

Question about blocklayered: This module is making major problems. Before I upgraded clone to PS 1.6.1 RC4 I've upgraded all modules. After the upgrade to PS 1.6.1. there were two new upgrades available (blocktopmenu and blocklayered). I'v upgraded both on PS 1.6.1. RESULT: both modules were deactivated after upgrade on PS 1.6.1. I activated them. Not visible on front-office although several delete of cache (at least manually by deleting the cache folders).

Module blocktopmenu I was able to reset. Blocklayered drives my server into nirvana. Deinstall possible. Install not possible, error says: module already installed and of course installs it again (and empty all database). Not really an option if you have several filters and about 1 mio of filteroptions. To have it shown on front-office again, only by uninstall and install. Hook manually not possible (already hooked).

What will happen with this module in nearest future ? It does not make any sense I test, if this module brakes my server and drive into wrong performance results...

If you can reproduce the issue each time you try it, please make a ticket on the Forge about.

Until then, resetting is the right thing. Hard to say why Blocklayared got stuck, but indeed its a complex module, and one we want to fix, one way or another -- but that won't be for 1.6.1.0.

Nice to hear that you will fix this module. Its really important for almost all stores but it works not really good. I had also problems with the update. The forge report was solved today: http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/NM-466?filter=-2

But probably selectshop has another problem.

Hi Xavier!

Live editing is not working as it should do!

Says it can not find the page.

Translation for Invoice lack of lines to be translated. (invoice) and (Invoice # b2b)

It shall be Faktura och Faktura # b2b On each tab.

This will also appear on the invoice sent to the client, so this is important to get it with this case, "Swedish" Faktura and Faktura # b2b

Has reported to the Forge.

Best regards
MacRoy

Cannot upgrade with package of RC5. Tried twice and got the following error: All files upgraded. Now upgrading database...[Ajax / Server Error for action upgradeDb] textStatus: "error " errorThrown:"Internal Server Error " jqXHR: " "

Any clue ? Cloned Shop and database as on all upgrades before. Cloned shop, checked if clone is working, Disabled all non native modules, upgraded all modules, changed to default theme and used 1-click-upgrade module.

php version is now 5.5.9, mysql 5.5.43, ubuntu 14.0.4.1, ngnix, memory 512M, max_exec and input both 900.

http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/PSCSX-6070

I was also reading in here: https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/271134-solved-upgrade-fatal-error-internal-server-error-jqxhr/

There are no permissions errors. I'm unzipping the package from /autoupgrade/download folder with permissions 0755 (also tried to give 0755 to the zip-file) and also the modules folders and sub-folders have 0755. Github files from this topic are not actual, i.e. does not exist on this RC package. How to fix ?

Edited:  today new try (third one). Same problem. PS: back-ups are deactivated, as Prestashop is making back-up of whole root (also wordpress blog and other software contained in there I don't want to have a back-up besides it takes too much time and ends too in error....).

For this error there are no server error logs written, so it must be an internal Prestashop error from 1-click module.

Thanks! I've answered you on your ticket.

As for your edit, could you again create a specific ticket for this issue?

Thank you!

This ticket must be still available. I've reported this problem a year ago or more... From what I remember the answer was, will not be solved, cause a specific problem. Well I think it is not. All of my users I'm administrating have more than Prestashop installed on their host... Most of them use a separate blog on their host. When I check back-up, so the whole host is backed-up. For me a real problem with time out than, cause I've more than only a blog and PS installed, I have developer versions and also clones installed. So backing up all takes too much time.

I prefer to see the back-up better elaborated, on where you can choose what to back-up.

Hi SelectShop,

Did you happen to find a fix for this problem as i've got the exact same error message when trying to upgrade but cannot find a fix:

[Ajax / Server Error for action upgradeDb] textStatus: "error " errorThrown:"Internal Server Error " jqXHR: " "

Why are you trying to upgrade your Shop to a RC (release candidate) if PS 1.6.1.0 is still officially released ? About your error you shoul read your server error logs -> internal server error. The log should say which error it is and than you can debug it.
