I uploaded 1 module about 2 months ago and still have no 1 answer about it.
I noticed that addons page changed completely and now is required to be a partner.

Ok, i uploaded again the module but is required to be partner to validate it.

Despite to be very confusing where or how to be a partner i found a form page to request.

I did the request to be partner has 1 week ago and still no answer.
The form page says 2 days to receive answer. After 7 days theres no answers.
I found another page on PrestaShop addons saying the answer can be received in 10 days. Ok..

I'm missing something? Something wrong? Not approved? There are problems on module ? I don't know what to do..
For while i'm distributing the module on my own webservers.

you probably uploaded "free" module, right?

to place free module on addons marketplace it is necessary to be a partner.

for "standard" contributors PrestaShop allows to upload only paid addons at the moment

i cannot publish the module as paid module because contract with partner company. the module must be free.

 

i found a new page about developers funding.. I did a request again.

i really need to publish the module into PrestaShop Market Place. For while i'm distributing from my own webservers.

when i finally talk with someone, the person just joking.. just said to search another place for support..

Now we have a option  "Fund".. But.. how it Works? whats is that?

i sent request to be partner but still have no answer..

 

i tried to contact others places for support and nobody knows how to solve nothing.. nobody knows nothing.. looks everybody is mentaly retarded..

I don't understand, why you want to have free module on Addons Marketplace? Can't you simply create topic here on proper forum with module description and as attachment?

 

Support on addons.prestashop.com is more for buyers than developers but of coruse behaviour of support person is very bad and this shouldn't happend, for contact related to developer account you should go here:

https://addons.prestashop.com/en/contact-us

 

and select "I have a problem with my seller account".

 

Being a partner is not that simple  (and it's not free)

For me, the MarketPlace was the proper place for both, paid and free modules, until 2 or 3 months ago.

I uploaded the module as free module before MarketPlace changes (2 or 3 months ago). This was the main reason to open this thread. About the long time waiting for approval.
Long time waiting without answer from PrestaShop, then, i changed my focus to others stuffs. I was off from PrestaShop in this period of 2 or 3 months.. i don't know exactly.

When i back here to check my module status, the addons website was completely different. The seller acount also different.. and i noticed the worse thing.. The module registered as free module before the changes, now requires to be partner.

 

This is another very confusing part.. How to be a fuc**ng partner.. omg.. how difficult to find proper place.

The page to request partnership was "bugged" displaying the form request but suddenly disappear from screen and display a search form to search partners.. lol (now , this is not happening)
And then i found that thing called "Fund" that nobody understand what is or how works.. Even the PrestaShop staff, support team don't have idea what is "developers fund".

LOL... 

Do you understand how confusing the things are now?

I was navigating on Addon website to find some information. On addon website have a chat to talk with support team.

This is what i did.. you can see how the support attended..
Any other form to contact don't give any answer or feedback. Or when you finally find a person to talk, the person is rude , sarcastic or whatever.. i don't understand why these animals treat  the customers very bad.. The forum moderators are very kind, helpful, but the company  support is terrible.

 

Ok, besides of jokes, another confusing part is, i did request on page "developers fund".
After somedays, into my addons seller account i received a message. (blue notice mark).
But there are no message.. All i see is my own request and a field to give answer to myself.. lol And always, no information about nothing, how to proceed, what to do.. omg..

 

What i see is a company performing big changes very badly.. Releasing the things without proper test, terrible peoples on support (arrogants, unrespectful without reason.). 

 

I was completely off from PrestaShop forums and website on the last 3 months. Many things changed here in this time.

 

But i didn't received any notice, any email, i'm not aware about the changes on PrestaShop, MarketPlace, etc.. 
 

There's official page/blog to see the news?

Any place for instructions or something else? Or we need to guess all things and waste time with ridiculous support team and all that confusing website pages?

They are writing anywhere  about Funds, this is their #1milion4devs action and for sure it is completely not related to be a partner etc.

 

Things are changed here and you can't upload free modules on marketplace, it is simple rule, you don't answer my question, why you want have free module on marketplace? Self promotion? :)

the answer to your question was answered above....

 

1. I didnt know about the changes. I do not visit PS pages daily 24 hours.

2. No idea where to publish free modules. The Vekia answer says not available to publish free modules at this moment. So i thought will back to "normal" as before.

3. still able to publish and set free module on addons page but not available to publish if not a partner

4. No one place explains about how to be partner,. all very confused, messed.  

5. No response for any request. Long time waiting without answer. Over 14 days.. some requests i'm waiting over 2 months.

6. On post #3, you can see another reason i couldn't publish the module as paid. The module was developed for Payment Gateway company. I have specific contract with payment gateway company whose terms do not permit sell the module. Must be free.

7. Why PrestaShop release or perform changes about something still not ready ? Released the DevelopersFund very messed. The partner program is not clear, dont give response.. No explanation, bugged, no information. No support.. Even the support team don't know what is "developers fund".. great..

8. Your suggestion to publish free module on forum pages, i undestand.. But this as very amateur... So, why PrestaShop did such change without previous notice ?

My contract with payment gateway was done in 2014-October, based on PS Market Place rules at that time.
Since of then, i was focused to my business and developing the module. Around 2015-May i uploaded the first release before the Market Place rules changes. But the free modules already not available to non- partner.

I did request to be partner on same day. So, i'm waiting the answer over 2 months.. This was the main reason to open this topic on forum because all channels for direct support with PS company are very bad. ..

 

well.. i think all is very clear.. i don't need to repeat the same things i wrote above.. ok?

One thing nobody here explain is why PrestaShop company is so arrogant and stupid?

I'm PS user since 2013 and i noticed this along this time..   

About 2 or 3 years ago i did request to be partner and still waiting for answer.. In that occasion the support was very arrogant and stupid.. I was newbie here, so i didn't care about that and had no time to waste time with primitive animals. But now i see again the same situation.

 

Now i'm not sure about continue to support PS, continue to make investments for PS in Japan (i'm located in japan). PS in Japan is not popular because don't have direct credit card modules or even modules for direct payment connecting with japan local webservices. All japan merchants are using paypal or another kind of solution for credit cards and many kind of workaround.. The problem is obvious, not all customers have paypal account or want create new one. The customers abandon a cart shop because don't have proper payment method for credit card. 
The only Japan Partner seems abandoned here. No support, website messed, outdated, 404 not found pages, etc.. Looks abandoned.. 
Since 2014-May i'm investing to created credit card payment module solution for Japan merchants. 
All my customers  are requesting this over years and,  there are many others requesting.. The merchants cannot wait .. Many of them gave up PrestaShop and migrating to use others platforms like Magento, ZenCart, EC-Cube, Woocommerce, etc, because others popular platforms have proper solutions for payment modules in Japan.

I think the module i developed will help to make PrestaShop be more acceptable in Japan. I'm already using in 5 customers. Working well. 

Not all PS developers are single and virgin 50 year old guys living on grandma house.  :rolleyes: 
I have serious business here.. ;)

4. You have contact from on prestashop.com where you can ask about this, partnership it's not just request like "hi, i want to be your partner", it costs over 2000EUR and require few tests.

I suggest you to stop writing here because rules are simple, you can't add free modules as non partner freelancer/agency, you should use for it forum on your website, if you want to be a partner contact PrestaShop, if they are not responding - well, it is their problem too, right? One partner less.

the proper way  is offer documentation and minimal instructions on website , not only by spreading in twitts or face posts, instagrm or whatever..

and you really don't get what it is?

 

From what I see you think that if you wrote to them you automatically will be a partner but it is not that easy - as I wrote before, it is paid, and it requires online tests.

 

For now your only option is to provide this free module here on forum on your website.

 

You write that you don't have time too be on the forum/fb/twitter every day... ok, but information about changes in ToS on Addons was sent to every seller... so... this is another point of your ignorance.

 

Three people here already wrote to you that you need to be a partner, how to be a partner? Contact PrestaShop using this form:

i think that they (prestashop) also have some kind of partnership with other payment gateways like paypal.

im affraid that it can be a case of XXX XX EUR or even XXX XXX EUR (i'm just betting!) for such kind of partnership.

 

Why to much?

free modules on addons marketplace are DIRECTLY available from each shop back office. This means over 350 000 possible customers for this payment gateway. Just multiply this with transaction fees that payment gateways usually charge for EACH transaction. So as you can see - it can be a gold mine :P

 

if I were you i will try to reach them on FB, from what i saw - they reply there much quicker :)

However, 2 weeks ago, i did read on developer fund page they are interested to have partners all around the world because they understand the demand to offer local solutions for local markets. This includes payment gateway solutions.
