Impossible to import combinations with Prestashop 1.5.6.2

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I used Prestashop 1.4 during more than one year and had no problem to import product combinations.

One year ago, I migrated towards Prestashop 1.5.6.2.

With this Prestashop version I have always been unable to import product combinations.

To run the import process, I do the following :

- I create the csv file as usual

- In admin > Advanced Parameters > Import, I load the csv file (without any problem)

- Then I check the suited boxes, and click on next step

- There I can see that the fields of my csv file are in accordance with their expected titles.

But when I click on the Data Import button, I can wait indefinitely and I finally have to click on the Cancel button.

Would you know what can prevent the Import process from working correctly ?

Thank you in advance for any suggestion.

Patrick

Hi patrmich,

importing is a big limitation in PrestaShop: I have been using Prestashop from 1.4 and with every new versione I hoped to solve some import problems...but the developping does not solve any problem....They just add new fields!!

Apparently your hosting is the problem, i believe the problem is how PS does the import because I had the some problems. I moved from shared hosting to VPS because I was told that the hosting upgrade would solve my problems, but nothing changed !!

So I started looking for tools to help import...there are few available, after testing all of them we decided for the module PrestaPricing (see here).

It's full of option and you find out so much about PrestaShop, is mainly mass updates and import tools. There are many training videos, take a look.

The price adapats to your needs but the best is the support: before importing was a guess (it works??...it doesn't work??...), with PrestaPricing when I have a problem i can send an email and receive a quick help.

My suggestion: don't upgrade the server, if you don't have a big increase in visitors. Invest some money for a tool to import such as PrestaPricing.

Good luck

Navid
