barcode and product combinations

We're creating a new presta shop, have set up products with different combinations, 250g, 500g and so on.

When I get a delivery and scan the barcode the product comes up in the products backend, but the combination is not being picked up.

The different combinations have different barcodes and I need to be able to link them to the barcode reader.

Any suggestions? I suspect I need to get a plug-in for this?

You can set different barcode for every product combination. See "Add or modify combinations for this product".

Thank you for your reply, but sorry, but you are not answering my question. Maybe I didn't make it clear enough: when I get a delivery and scan the barcode of a product (note, every combination has it's own barcode) - the system picks up just the default product and shows it, not the combination.

I would like to see the right product combination come up as it is scaned.

Hi, I have the same issue. When I scanned the barcode (every combination has it's own barcode), the system (RockPos module) picks up the default product but not the combination.

 

Any comments?

I have the same problem. I see this issue in the adding manual order in the back office too. when you search for a combination ean13 or reference code it selects the default combination not the searched one.
