We noticed that open cart website pages will be crawled by google much more faster than prestashop websites. Also prestashop webstores will take so much time to appear in google after submission. I have not found any clue that OpenCart crawls faster than PrestaShop. At the other end, OpenCart has several security flaws that dont occur in presta, also, PrestShop layout is more fluid in a responsive way. also, with a good host, default smarty cache, optimized images and a good CDN like CloudFare, Presta loads under 1.0s, full home with just 1.5mb. PrestaShop is growing faster than all the other carts at this time. However, if you have a solid clue that PrestaShop indexes late or appear late, then don't forget to share with it. Do you have google webmaster tool activated, and is there some crawl errors ? Do you have sitemap page and more importantly sitemap.xml ? Did you maybe denied access to crawlers in development and left it when it is gone live ? Lot of questions :-) But hope something will help. And while I am on sid eof Prestashop, it depends on your project, what site needs to do. Some platforms are better for some specific features you need, but in most you can get same or similar end result. Just a way or how much you invest can be different. So Prestashop, Opencart, Shopify, Magento your choice. But for all some work is same like social networks, marketing, SEO, blogging. Again some base is same but additional plugins can help.
