Comm100 0 Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Comm100 Live Chat Software can be integrated with your Prestashop. After integration, there will be a chat button on your shop website, and your visitors can click the chat button to start chatting with you. Your clients are more likely to purchase if they get the help when they need. This article will help you install the Comm100 Live Chat code onto your Prestashop website. Step-by-Step Instruction: Step 1. Log into the site where your PrestaShop site is hosted using a standard FTP client or the Cpanel File manager Step 2. Go to ROOT Directory of Prestashop Step 3. Find footer.tpl under Prestashop\themes\default-bootstrap. Please refer to screenshot 1_Directory.png attached Step 4. Open footer.tpl with an editor like Notepad. Copy and paste your Comm100 Live Chat Code before the <\body> tag at the bottom of the window. Note: If you don't know where to get the code, please contact Comm100 support. Step 5. Type {literal} before the first line and type {\literal} after the last line, to make sure Prestashop template engine will not evaluate it. Please refer to screenshot 2_code.png attached Step 6. Click Save as, input footer.tpl as the file name and save it onto your PC Step 7. Upload your newly created footer.tpl to your server and replace the old one. After that, you will see a chat button showing on your Prestashop site. Note: If you still can’t see the chat button after following the steps above, you probably enabled Prestashop’s Smarty Cache. Please follow the steps below to resolve this problem: Step 1. Go to your Prestashop Control Panel Step 2. Go to Preferences , and then Performance Step 3. Set Force Compile to 'Yes' and 'Cache' to 'No' Step 4. Save your settings Step 5. Refresh your website and the Comm100 Live Chat button should be there Step 6. Go back to your Preferences and turn Force Compile and Cache back to their former settings to keep your site loading fast. If you have any questions, just let us know.
