Price excluding tax in home page

Recommended Posts

Hi.

I'm using 1.6.0.14. Default theme.

How to display prices excluding taxes in home page?

In Customer > Groups I change display method for taxes, but changes are only effective in detail page and category pages, not in home page. If exclude taxes is set, It is confusing for a visitor to click on a product in home page and see a different price in detail page than the one displayed in home.

I'm beginning with Prestashop, and don't know if this is a problem with the theme, or I'm not configuring appropriately.

Thanks.

Can you give a link to the page so I can see for myself may be helpful

I'm running a fresh local install. But you can see the opposite situation in a cloud testing site:

http://adsn.pswebshop.com

Taxes are excluded by default in cloud. When I set "include taxes" in all groups, taxes are only included in detail/category pages, while remain excluded in home.

It looks buggy, doesn't it? Ideally, administrator should have full control on how to display prices, or, at least, display prices consistently in all pages (home, category, detail).

Is this happening when signed in as customer, I just looked and all prices were the same , Homepage Featured T 16,51, List/grid view, 16.51, Product view 16.51 same with the blous 27.00 all three places.

I did not create an account.

It happens for any group of customers.

I'm noticing some bizarre behavior:

  1. I've realized that, after doing some test configuration and verifying the unwanted results, next day in the morning, mysteriously, it all works appropriately. I have noticed this for 3 times at least. At the exact time of this writing I can confirm unwanted behavior as reported in this thread. Probably you have done your tests many hours after my last configuration. I can't explain this. I don't believe it is a geo-location issue, I have tried with tor from ip's outside european union and still see unwanted results.
  2. If I do some update in one product (simply save, for instance), mysteriously again, wrong behavior is gone immediately. I've noticed this updating products but surely any kind of update has the same effect.

My guess is that some automatic periodic (daily, perhaps) update happens in such a way that wrong behavior is hidden as stated in #2 above.

I believe there may be some kind of strange bug and in my opinion it wouldn't hurt that some expert tried to reproduce in an ad-hoc fresh local or cloud installation.

Hi,

after many days looking at this I think I may have the solution, well it has worked for me.

In the Localization, Download the pack for your country but make sure you click the "Change the behavior of the taxes displayed to the groups" check box.

Hope this helps.
