looking for a guide, howto, tutorial etc. about adding products with attributes

Hello

I am looking for a manual, "how-to", guide, etc, etc. that guides store owners about how to add products to the shop, products with attribute that is. For example, how to add Lipstick that comes in 10 colors to the shop.
step by step tell how to do it, how to create and use attributes, what pictures is needed, sizes etc. etc.
I hope you guys understand what i mean. In my head the explanation is crystal clear :-)

I guess a guide like this already exists, but i cant seem to find it anywhere.
And i know that the guy i make the store for wont leave me alone when its time to add the products, and my skills as tutorial writer is not good.

If any of you have a guide like this and want to share it i would appreciate it alot.
