[solved] Refund Request, no response from Addons team

Have you ever tried to use the live chat for reporting an issue with mods? Obviously not otherwise you'd not suggest it. Live chat is a joke.

So how about some effort is made by addons to sort out my issue?

It's too late, been longer than 30 days. Unfortunately this mod developer put out a module which just plain wouldn't work (blank pages, data not saved, etc, etc). So I contacted the dev and over the course of 3-4 weeks they eventually got it mostly working. Yet there were still serious bugs (a core function just does not work at all) so I contacted them several times last month and have not heard back. They do not respond to any emails, even sales related. So this dev appears to have moved on, with my money. With that I decided I had no choice but to delete the module.

The most infuriating aspect of this is why such a buggy mod exists at all on the prestashop addons site. This should not be occurring. I can only assume that mods are checked to meet a specific set of rules but are not actually tested to see whether they work as they should.

Also, as the mod is still available for sale I would expect until the addons team address this it will continue to create problems for any customers who purchase it.

The way prestashop continues to maintain the addons section is quite outrageous and I can categorically state that I will never again buy another mod through addons that does not maintain a specific support and feedback topic relating to that module in the Paid Modules & Themes forum.

Not getting anywhere with Prestashop. No reply to this thread and no response to my request to look into the matter.

Makes you wonder about this company, quick to accept my money and non-responsive to problems associated with it.

I remember, several years ago, I got an answer after three urgencies in 2 weeks. Sometimes not at all. Everything is relative.

Anyway, I guess it is a rush at the moment. I can also see gaping scissors at Forge - 223 issues created and 146 resolved in the last 30 days.

I know you are trying to help, but creating excuses for them is not really helping.

they are running a business here, and making a bunch of money in the process.  Ignoring paying customers after weeks is just bad business, there is no excuse for it.

Hi Matt (jetx),

I'm truly sorry that you're haven't been getting the answers you were expecting from the Community contributor for this module. Those messages you sent through the contact form go straight to them and Addons doesn't follow the conversations. However, I can see that even though the developer replied to the first couple of emails, the last two requests you sent remained unanswered.

I'll be happy to give you a refund for this module, you will have it within 48hrs.

Thank you for your great patience, please accept my sincere apologies for this bad experience.

Note: of course this won't change my opinion of Addons. Until it is improved, especially the long requested comments section being added to modules for both customers and developers to discuss/ rate products, I will not be buying from this site.

Hello Xavier du Tertre well it's been 8 days now. Can I expect to see the refund for this module fairly soon?

Also, an odd thing is that the module in question is still for sale in Addons. I think you should consider removing it? Or perhaps I was the only sucker to have spent money on it so far.
