Vendor module

Hello everyone,

 

I'm trying to develop a module that contain a vendor section, where vendor can access and modify insert product, just like a marketplace, my question is, can i do that with a module? if YES can anyone give me any idea how to start, i really need to make a new login page for vendors, should i use the same controller used for customers or BO?
